An Act to provide for compensation to be paid to the Widow of Major-General Sir William Throsby Bridges, K.C.B., C.M.G.

Preamble
BE it enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, for the purpose of appropriating the grant originated in the House of Representatives, as follows:—
Short title.
1. This Act may be cited as the Officer’s Compensation Act 1915.
Payment to be made.
2.—(1.) Notwithstanding anything contained in the War Pensions Act 1914–1915, there shall be paid out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund, which is hereby appropriated accordingly, the sum of Four thousand five hundred pounds to the widow of Major-General Sir William Throsby Bridges, K.C.B., C.M.G.
(2.) Upon the payment of the sum authorized by sub-section (1.) of this section any liability of the Commonwealth under the War Pensions Act 1914–1915 to the widow and dependants of the said Major-General Sir William Throsby Bridges shall be determined.
