REGULATION UNDER THE WAR PRECAUTIONS ACT 1914–1916.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation, under the War Precautions Act 1914–1916, to come into operation forthwith.

Amendment of the War Precautions (Prices) Regulations.

(Statutory Rules 1916, No. 155.)

Regulation 15 of the War Precautions (Prices) Regulations is amended by adding at the end thereof the following sub-regulation:—

“(2.) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Regulation, where a maximum price for the sale of tin plates has been fixed under these Regulations and the Minister is satisfied after inquiry that as regards a particular sale of tin plates the prices fixed under these Regulations is inadequate he may, if he thinks fit, fix as regards that particular sale a higher price than the price fixed under these Regulations, and the price so fixed by him shall, as regards that sale be deemed to be the maximum price which may be charged for that sale.”
