REGULATIONS UNDER THE DAIRY PRODUCE ACT 1933.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Dairy Produce Act 1933.

Amendment of Dairy Produce (Poll) Regulations.

(Statutory Rules 1934, No. 52.)

1. Regulation 14 of the Dairy Produce (Poll) Regulation's is repealed and the following regulation inserted in its stead:—

Voter to make declaration.

“14. The voter shall complete and sign in his own handwriting the declaration on the envelope, in the presence of a person who is an elector, or qualified to be an elector, of the Commonwealth, and that person shall complete and sign in his own handwriting the certificate by the witness.”

Authorized witnesses.

2. Regulation 15 of the Dairy Produce (Poll) Regulations is hereby repealed.

Form C.

3. The Schedule to the Dairy Produce (Poll) Regulations is amended by omitting Form C and inserting in its stead the following Form:—

“Form C. Regulation 11.

Commonwealth of Australia.

Dairy Produce Act 1933.

Dairy Produce (Poll) Regulations.

DECLARATION TO BE MADE BY VOTER.

Directions.—This declaration must be made by the voter and be signed by him in his own handwriting in the presence of an elector, or person qualified to be an elector, of the Commonwealth.

The witness must complete and sign in his own handwriting the certificate which follows the voter’s declaration.

*Dairy Produce means butter and cheese, but does not include processed cheese.

do hereby declare:—

(a) that during the year ended on the thirty-first day of December, 1933, I was a producer of milk and that I either manufactured and sold at least Five hundred (500) pounds in weight of dairy produce*, or supplied to a manufacturer of dairy produce* sufficient milk or cream, or both, to produce at least Five hundred (500) pounds in weight of dairy produce*;

(b) that I am entitled to vote at the poll (which closes on the day of 1934) now being taken under the provisions of section three of the Dairy Produce Act 1933 and the Dairy Produce (Poll) Regulations; and

(c) that I have not previously voted at the said poll.

Certificate by Witness.

I, the undersigned, being an elector, or person qualified to be an elector, of the Commonwealth, certify—

(a) that I have satisfied myself as to the identity of the above-named voter;

(b) that I saw the above-named voter sign the foregoing declaration in his own handwriting; and

(c) that I know the statements contained in the foregoing declaration to be true, or that I have satisfied myself, by inquiry from the above-named voter or otherwise, that the statements contained in the foregoing declaration are true.
