An Act to amend the Colonial Light Dues Collection Act 1932–1934 and for other purposes.

[Assented to 7th December, 1936.]

BE it enacted by the Kings Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:—

Short title and citation.

1.—(1.) This Act may be cited as the Colonial Light Dues Collection Act 1936.

(2.) The Colonial Light Dues Collection Act 1932–1934 is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act.

(3.) The Principal Act, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Colonial Light Dues Collection Act 1932–1936.

Application of Act.

2. Section two of the Principal Act is amended by omitting the words to or from Australia.

The Schedule.

3. The Schedule to the Principal Act is amended by omitting from the First Part the following items:—

Validation of collection of Colonial light dues.

4. All moneys collected in Australia as Colonial light dues prior to the commencement of this Act and not refunded shall be deemed to have been lawfully levied and collected.
