REGULATION UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903-1934.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Defence Act 1903-1934.

Amendment of Royal Military College Regulations.†

Examination of Commonwealth candidates for admission as students under the proviso to regulation 5.

Appendix V. of the Royal Military College Regulations is amended under the sub-heading “(vi) Syllabus of Examination” by—

(a) omitting, in the title of the text-book for Subject 8, Physics, the words “Elements of Physics” and inserting in their stead the words “Intermediate Physics”; and

(b) omitting, in the title of the text-book for Subject 11, Geometrical Drawing, the words “Practical Solid Geometry—Atkinson (Spon Ltd.)” and inserting in their stead the words “Geometrical Drawing and Design— Spanton (Macmillan & Co. Ltd.)”; and

(c) omitting, in the detail of Subject 11, Geometrical Drawing, the words “grouped under cases (i), (ii) and (iii) of the text-book, Chapters I. and II. and inserting in their stead the words “Chapters XII. and XIII.”
