REGULATIONS UNDER THE DAIRY PRODUCE EXPORT CONTROL ACT 1924-1936.*
I, THE Deputy of the GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth. of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Dairy Produce Export Control Act 1924-1936.

Dairy Produce Export Control (Fees and Expenses) Regulations.
Short title.
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Dairy Produce Export Control (Fees and Expenses) Regulations.
Repeal.
2. The Dairy Produce Export Control (Fees and Expenses) Regulations (being Statutory Rules 1925, No. 166, as amended by Statutory Rules 1926, No. 99; Statutory Rules 1930, No. 133; Statutory Rules 1931, No. 55; and Statutory Rules 1932, No. 82) are hereby repealed.
Application of Regulations.
3. These Regulations shall not apply to any member of the Board or deputy of a member of the Board who has lodged with the Secretary of the Board a declaration that during any period during which he is or may be a member of the Parliament of the Commonwealth or of a State he will not accept any fees under section 8 of the Dairy Produce Export Control Act 1924-1936.
Fees of Chairman and members.
4.—(1.) The Chairman of the Board shall receive a fee of Five pounds five shillings per day, and each member, or deputy of a member of the Board while acting as such, shall receive a fee of Four pounds four shillings per day for attendance at meetings of the Board or of the Executive Committee of the Board.
(2.) The Chairman, and each member or deputy of a member, of the Board shall receive a fee of Four pounds four shillings per day for each day while engaged on such business of the Board as the Board determines:
Provided that a fee shall not be paid to the Chairman or to any member or deputy of a member of the Board under this regulation in respect of any day on which he attends a meeting of the Board or of the Executive Committee of the Board.

Travelling expenses.
5.—(1.) Where any member resides at a distance of more than fifteen miles from the place where a meeting of the Board, or of the Executive Committee of the Board, is held, or from the place where the business of the Board referred to in the last preceding regulation is transacted, he shall receive an allowance at the rate of Two pounds two shillings per day to cover expenses incurred whilst so travelling:
Provided that an allowance under this regulation shall not be payable to. any member in respect of any day for which that member receives a fee for attendance at a meeting of the Board, or of the Executive Committee of the Board, or for attendance at any place where he is engaged on the business of the Board.
(2.) In addition to the allowance specified in the last preceding sub-regulation, a member shall be reimbursed the return fares actually and necessarily paid by him in travelling from his place of residence to the place where the meeting is held or the business is transacted:
Provided that where the member travels by air and the amount of the fare exceeds the amount which would have been payable if he had travelled by rail or steamer, he shall not, except with the approval of the Minister, be entitled to reimbursement of the excess.
(3.) In this regulation, “member” means a member of the Board or of the Executive Committee of the Board, and includes the Chairman of the Board and any deputy of a member of the Board.
Fees and travelling expenses outside Australia.
6. Where the Chairman or any member or deputy of a member of the Board is engaged on any business of the Board outside Australia, he shall, subject to the approval of the Minister, be paid—
(a) such amounts actually incurred by him for travelling expenses as, in the opinion of the Minister, are reasonable; and
(b) a fee of Five pounds per day for each day upon which he is engaged on that business.
