CHILD ENDOWMENT.

An Act to amend the Child Endowment Act 1941-1942.
[Assented to 27th June, 1945.]
BE it enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:—
Short title and citation.
1.—(1.) This Act may be cited as the Child Endowment Act 1945.
(2.) The Child Endowment Act 1941–1942, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Child Endowment Act 1941–1945.
Commencement.
2. This Act shall come into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.
Child endowment.
3. Section thirteen of the Child Endowment Act 1941–1942 is amended by omitting from sub-sections (1.), (1a.) and (1b.) the words “Five shillings” and inserting in their stead the words “Seven shillings and sixpence”.
Application of amendments.
4. The amendments effected by this Act shall apply in respect of the endowment period commencing on the twenty-sixth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and forty-five, and in respect of all subsequent endowment periods.
