REGULATIONS UNDER THE PARLIAMENTARY COUNSEL ACT 1970-1971.*
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Parliamentary Counsel Act 1970-1971.

Amendment of the Parliamentary Counsel Regulations†
Travelling allowance.
1. Regulation 4 of the Parliamentary Counsel Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (2.) the words “Twenty-eight dollars” and “Twenty-one dollars” and inserting in their stead the words “Thirty-four dollars” and “Twenty-five dollars”, respectively.
Application.
2. The rates specified in sub-regulation (2.) of regulation 4 of the Parliamentary Counsel Regulations as amended by these Regulations apply—
(a) in relation to travelling allowance paid or payable to the First Parliamentary Counsel—in respect of travel on the seventeenth day of May, 1972, or any subsequent day; and
(b) in relation to travelling allowance paid or payable to a Second Parliamentary Counsel—in respect of travel on the twenty-fourth day of January, 1972, or any subsequent day.
