REGULATIONS UNDER THE TRADE COMMISSIONERS ACT 1933.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Trade Commissioners Act 1933.

Amendments of the Trade Commissioners Regulations

1. After regulation 27 of the Trade Commissioners Regulations the following regulation is added:—

Insurance and storage of furniture, household effects or baggage.

“ 28. (1) A Commissioner shall be entitled to the payment, by way of allowance, of such amounts as he would be paid by way of reimbursement of insurance premiums, in respect of furniture, household effects or baggage being transported—

(a) from Australia to an overseas post; or

(b) from an overseas post to Australia or another overseas post,

if he were an officer of the Australian Public Service.

“ (2) A Commissioner transferred for duty overseas at public expense shall be entitled to the payment, by way of allowance, in respect of the storage of his furniture and household effects or part thereof in Australia, of such amounts as he would be entitled to be paid, and of amounts equal to charges that would be met on his behalf by the Commonwealth, if he were an officer of the Australian Public Service—

(a) in respect of the charge for storage; and

(b) in respect of loss of, or damage to, that furniture or those effects.

“ (3) An entitlement of a Commissioner under sub-regulation (1) or (2) shall be subject to the same conditions that would be applicable in relation to the corresponding entitlement of an officer of the Australian Public Service.”.

Schedule.

2. The Schedule to the Trade Commissioners Regulations is amended by omitting the heading “ SCHEDULE 27 ” and all words and figures after that heading.
