Australian Federal Police (Consequential Amendments) Act 1979

An Act to amend certain Acts in connection with the enactment of the Australian Federal Police Act 1979.
BE IT ENACTED by the Queen, and the Senate and House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:
Short title
1. This Act may be cited as the Australian Federal Police (Consequential Amendments) Act 1979.
Commencement
2. (1) Subject to sub-section (2), this Act shall come into operation, or shall be deemed to have come into operation, as the case requires, on the date fixed under sub-section 2(2) of the Australian Federal Police Act 1979.
(2) The amendments of sections 87 and 87j of the Public Service Act 1922 made by this Act shall come into operation on the date of commencement of section 32 of the Public Service Amendment Act 1978.
