An Act to declare Anzac Day, on 25 April, to be the national day of commemoration to recognise and commemorate the contribution of all those who have served Australia (including those who died) in time of war and in warlike conflicts

[Assented to 29 March 1995]

The Parliament of Australia enacts:

  This Act may be cited as the Anzac Day Act 1995.

  This Act commences on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.

  The national day of commemoration to recognise and commemorate the contribution of all those who have served Australia (including those who died) in time of war and in warlike conflicts is to be known as Anzac Day and observed on 25 April each year.
