Trade Commissioners Regulations2 (Amendment)
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Trade Commissioners Act 1933.

1. Regulation 31 of the Trade Commissioners Regulations is repealed and the following regulation substituted:
Allowance in respect of certain accommodation
"31. (1) A Commissioner shall be paid in respect of residential accommodation for him and his family (if any) at his headquarters in Australia an allowance of an amount equal to the amount of the allowance that he would be paid in respect of that accommodation if he were an officer of the Australian Public Service.
"(2) A payment under sub-regulation (1) shall be subject to the same conditions that would be applicable in relation to a corresponding payment to an officer of the Australian Public Service.
"(3) A function that is required to be performed by the Chief Officer of a Department or by the Public Service Board in relation to the payment to an officer of the Australian Public Service of an allowance referred to in sub-regulation (1) shall be performed by the Minister in relation to the payment of an allowance under that sub-regulation.".
Higher duties allowance
2. Regulation 38 of the Trade Commissioners Regulations is amended—
(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (9) "or furlough granted under the Public Service Act 1922"; and
(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (9) "or the Public Service Regulations".
