Sex Discrimination (Operation of
Legislation) (No. 1) Regulations
I, THE ADMINISTRATOR of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Sex Discrimination Act 1984.

Citation
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Sex Discrimination (Operation of Legislation) (No. 1) Regulations.
Interpretation
2. In these Regulations, “the Act” means the Sex Discrimination Act 1984.
Operation of paragraph 40 (1) (a) of the Act
3. For the purposes of sub-section 40 (2) of the Act, paragraph 40 (1) (a) of the Act shall not cease to be in force at the expiration of 2 years after the commencement of the Act in relation to the legislation specified in the Schedule as that legislation was in force at the commencement of the Act.
Operation of paragraph 40 (1) (b) of the Act
4. For the purposes of sub-section 40 (2) of the Act, paragraph 40 (1) (b) of the Act shall not cease to be in force at the expiration of 2 years after the commencement of the Act in relation to all regulations, rules, by-laws, determinations or directions made under an Act or Ordinance specified in the Schedule and as in force at the commencement of the Act.
