NOTICE OF PUBLICATION OF COSTS OF PROVIDING THE NATIONAL RELAY SERVICE – FINAL RECONCILIATION

Notice is given under section 96 of the Telecommunications (Consumer Protection and Service Standards) Act 1999 that the National Relay Service (NRS) Providers, Australian Communication Exchange Limited (ABN 72 003 044 899) (ACE) and Westwood Spice Pty Ltd (ABN 095 066 318) (WWS), have advised the Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy that:

(a)   The total actual cost of ACE providing the NRS Relay Service during the quarter beginning on 1 January 2012 and ending on 31 March 2012 was $3,162,931.69 (ex GST).
 

This represents a variation of $10,397.75 (ex GST) from the estimate advised in the 12 January 2012 Gazette Notice

(b)   The total actual cost of ACE providing the NRS Relay Service during the quarter beginning on 1 April 2012 and ending on 30 July 2012 was $3,220,164.45 (ex GST).
 

This represents a variation of $175,216.78 from the estimate advised in the 4 April 2012 Gazette Notice

(c)   The total actual cost of WWS providing the NRS Outreach Service during the quarter beginning on 1 January 2012 and ending on 31 March 2012 was $674,479.57 (ex GST).
 

This represents a variation of -$142,229.43 (ex GST) from the estimate advised in the 12 January 2012 Gazette Notice
 

(d)   The total actual cost of WWS providing the NRS Outreach Service during the quarter beginning on 1 April 2012 and ending on 30 July 2012 was $1,018,019.01 (ex GST).
 

This represents a variation of $153,760.01 (ex GST) from the estimate advised in the 4 April 2012 Gazette Notice
