PROCLAMATION

 

 

I, General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), Governor General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council:

 

(a)              declare that the anthem “God Save The King” shall be known as the Royal Anthem and be used in the presence of His Majesty The King or a member of the Royal Family; and

 

(b)             revoke paragraph (a) of the proclamation made by the Governor General in Council on 19 April 1984 which declared the anthem “God Save The Queen” to be known as the Royal Anthem.
