Whittlesea City Council

Restricted Access update to the following route:

-          Bodycoats Rd Wollert

Reason:

The proposed removal of Bodycoats Road, Wollert for the Pre-Approved B-Double Route is due to the road undergoing residential subdivision work urbanising the road and thus having continued pre-approved B-Double access without individual case by case assessment will cause:

  • Damage to new infrastructure
  • impose adverse effects on the community, or
  • pose a significant risk to public safety

The above factors does not allow the road to continue to cater for regular B-Double movements with Andrew Road to the east (to be extended in future) to cater for future B-Double movements in this area as development proceeds and the area is subdivided.

Bodycoats Road is planned for roundabout construction at two locations with these treatments no being B-double capable.
