NOTICE OF CESSATION OF REGIONAL FOREST AGREEMENTS BETWEEN
THE COMMONWEALTH AND THE STATE OF VICTORIA

I, Julie Collins, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, make this notice in accordance with subsection 9(2) of the Regional Forest Agreement Act 2002 and for the purposes of any other relevant requirements in relation to giving notice of cessation of the following agreements.

The following Regional Forest Agreements between the Commonwealth and the State of Victoria ceased to be in force on 31 December 2024:

1.                 The Central Highlands Regional Forest Agreement relating to the central highlands region in Victoria which was entered into on 27 March 1998, as it was amended;
2.                 East Gippsland Regional Forest Agreement Between the Commonwealth and Victorian Governments relating to the East Gippsland region in Victoria which was entered into on 3 February 1997, as it was amended;
3.                 Gippsland Regional Forest Agreement relating to the Gippsland region in Victoria which was entered into on 31 March 2000, as it was amended;
4.                 The North East Regional Forest Agreement relating to the North East region in Victoria which was entered into on 9 August 1999, as it was amended;
5.                 West Victoria Regional Forest Agreement relating to the West Victoria region which was entered into on 31 March 2000, as it was amended.
