Australian Citizenship Regulations 2 (Amendment)

 

 

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Australian Citizenship Act 1948.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on 1 October 1991.

 

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Australian Citizenship Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.


3.   Regulation 7a (Application for registration)

3.1   Subregulation (3):

Omit the subregulation, substitute:

 

 “(3) Subject to subregulation (4), the fee payable on lodging an application referred to in subregulation (1) to register the name of a person for the purposes of section 10b of the Act is $100.

 

 “(4) If 2 or more applications referred to in subregulation (3) are lodged at the same time in respect of applicants who are siblings of one another, the following fees are payable on lodging the applications:

 (a) $100 in respect of 1 of the applicants;

 (b) $75 in respect of each other applicant.”.

 

 

4.   Regulation 8 (Declaratory certificate of citizenship issued on application)

4.1   Subregulation 8 (2):

Omit “$30”, substitute “$50”.

 

 

5.   Regulation 9 (Fee on lodgment of application for grant of certificate of Australian citizenship)

5.1   Subregulation 9 (1):

Omit “$35”, substitute “$50”.

 

 

6.   Regulation 18 (Fee payable in respect of application under subsection 44a (2) of the Act)

6.1   Omit “$30”, substitute “$50”.
