Torres Strait Fisheries Regulations2

(Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Torres Strait Fisheries Act 1984.

Schedule 1

Schedule 1 to the Torres Strait Fisheries Regulations is amended:

(a) by omitting from column 2 in item 4 “Act—” and substituting “Act (other than the grant or renewal of a licence in respect of which item 4a applies):”;

(b) by inserting after item 4 the following item:

“4a. Grant or renewal of a licence under subsection 19 (3) of the 20 Act in respect of an Australian boat authorising the use of the boat for carrying, or for processing and carrying, fish taken with the use of another boat;

(a) where that licence is granted or renewed at the same time as a licence referred to in item 2 or 3 is granted or renewed in respect of the first-mentioned boat; or

(b) where a licence referred to in item 2 or 3 is in force in respect of the first-mentioned boat                                                                                                  ”.
