Papua New Guinea (Members of the Forces

Benefits) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Papua New Guinea (Members of the Forces Benefits) Act 1957.

Interpretation

1. Regulation 3 of the Papua New Guinea (Members of the Forces Benefits) Regulations is amended by omitting “1957-1974” from the definition of “the Act” in sub-regulation (1) and substituting “1957”.

Prescribed authority

2. Regulation 4 of the Papua New Guinea (Members of the Forces Benefits) Regulations is amended by omitting “established by section 7 of the Repatriation Act 1920-1975”.

Decoration allowance

3. Regulation 17 of the Papua New Guinea (Members of the Forces Benefits) Regulations is amended by omitting “Repatriation Act 1920-1960” and substituting “Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986”.
