Defence Force Discipline Appeals Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Defence Force Discipline Appeals Act 1955.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Defence Force Discipline Appeals Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

[NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.]

2.   Regulation 2 (Interpretation)

2.1   Definition of “chief of staff”:

Omit the definition.

3.   Regulation 10 (Furnishing records of court martial proceedings etc. to Tribunal)

3.1   Subregulation 10 (1):

Omit “a chief of staff”, substitute “the Chief of the Defence Force or a service chief”.

3.2   Subregulation 10 (2):

Omit “chief of staff”, substitute “Chief of the Defence Force or service chief”.

4.   Regulation 18 (Notification of hearing)

4.1   Paragraph 18 (b):

Omit “chief of staff”, substitute “Chief of the Defence Force, or service chief,”.
