Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Australian Capital Territory
(Self-Government) Act 1988.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Australian Capital Territory (Self-Government) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

[Note:  These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation
Act 1901, s. 48.]

2.   Regulation 3A (Power of Assembly to make laws)

2.1   After subregulation 3A (2), insert:

 (2A) A law that applies, as a law of the Territory, section 70 of the National Electricity Law set out in the Schedule to the National Electricity (South Australia) Act 1996 of South Australia, as in force at the commencement of this subregulation, is excluded from paragraph 23 (1) (h) of the Act.

[Note:  Section 70 of the National Electricity Law deals with the application of funds on the winding up of National Electricity Code Administrator Limited or National Electricity Market Management Company Limited.]”.
