1 Name of Regulations

  These Regulations are the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals Code Amendment Regulations 1999 (No. 2).

2 Commencement

  These Regulations commence on 31 October 1999.

3 Amendment of Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals Code Regulations 1995

  Schedule 1 amends the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals Code Regulations 1995.

[1] Subregulation 3 (1), after definition of poison schedule classification

pool or spa hypochlorite means a chemical product that:

 (a) is for use in a swimming pool or spa that is for use by human beings; and

 (b) is a formulation of calcium hypochlorite, lithium hypochlorite or sodium hypochlorite that complies with the standard (if any) last published for that formulation by the NRA in the Gazette and in force on 31 October 1999.

  For paragraph 7 (1) (b) of the Act, section 7 of the Act applies to requirements for paragraph 14 (3) (d) of the Code in relation to a label for containers for pool or spa hypochlorites.
