Migration Agents Amendment Regulations 2000 (No. 2)1
I, WILLIAM PATRICK DEANE, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Migration Act 1958.

1 Name of Regulations
These Regulations are the Migration Agents Amendment Regulations 2000 (No. 2).
2 Commencement
These Regulations commence on 23 November 2000.
3 Amendment of Migration Agents Regulations 1998
Schedule 1 amends the Migration Agents Regulations 1998.
Schedule 1 Amendments
(regulation 3)
[1] Schedule 1, after clause 3
insert
3A. (1) In deciding whether or not to specify an activity under clause 3, the Minister may take into account the character and reputation, or a doubt about the character and reputation, of a person connected with the activity.
(2) Without limiting subclause (1), the following persons are connected with an activity:
(a) a person who conducts the activity or produces, writes or presents material for it;
(b) a person concerned in the management of a company or body of persons that conducts the activity or produces, writes or presents material for it;
(c) a person who has been appointed as a consultant to advise a person mentioned in paragraph (a) or (b) about the activity.

[3] Schedule 1, subparagraph 13 (c) (ii)

(ii) until 2 years after the end of the registration period during which the activity was completed.
