These Rules are the Federal Court Amendment Rules 1999 (No. 8).
These Rules commence on 1 January 2000.
3 Amendment of Federal Court Rules
Schedule 1 amends the Federal Court Rules.

[1] Order 1, rule 4, after definition of corporation

(4) Despite subrule 2 (1), for the purposes of the Corporations Law Rules, personal service may be effected:
(a) on a company, as defined in section 9 of the Corporations Act 1989 of the Commonwealth or the corresponding legislation of a State or Territory (the Corporations Law), in any manner permitted by section 109X of the Corporations Law; and
(b) on the liquidator of a company, in the manner permitted by paragraph 109X (1) (c) of the Corporations Law; and
(c) on an administrator of a company, in the manner permitted by paragraph 109X (1) (d) of the Corporations Law.
