1 Name of Regulations

  These Regulations are the Australian Securities and Investments Commission Amendment Regulations 2004 (No. 2).

2 Commencement

  These Regulations commence on the date of their notification in the Gazette.

3 Amendment of Australian Securities and Investments Commission Regulations 2001

  Schedule 1 amends the Australian Securities and Investments Commission Regulations 2001.

insert

2AC Professional accounting bodies

  For the definition of professional accounting body in subsection 5 (1) of the Act, the following bodies are prescribed:

 (a) CPA Australia;

 (b) The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia;

 (c) National Institute of Accountants.
