Civil Aviation (Fees) Amendment Regulations 2004 (No. 1)1
I, PHILIP MICHAEL JEFFERY, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Civil Aviation Act 1988.

1 Name of Regulations
These Regulations are the Civil Aviation (Fees) Amendment Regulations 2004 (No. 1).
2 Commencement
These Regulations commence on the date of their notification in the Gazette.
3 Amendment of Civil Aviation (Fees) Regulations
Schedule 1 amends the Civil Aviation (Fees) Regulations.
4 Transitional
The amendments by regulation 3 do not affect the fee payable by a person for a service if:
(a) in the case of a service for which the fee is the hourly rate:
(i) CASA began to provide the service to the person before the commencement of the amendments; or
(ii) CASA agreed with the applicant in writing, before the commencement of the amendments, to provide the service at the hourly rate prevailing at that time; or
(b) in the case of any other service — the person paid the fee before the commencement of the amendments.
