1 Name of Regulations
These Regulations are the Parliamentary Entitlements Amendment Regulations 2005 (No. 1).
2 Commencement
These Regulations commence on the day after they are registered.
3 Amendment of Parliamentary Entitlements Regulations 1997
Schedule 1 amends the Parliamentary Entitlements Regulations 1997.

3G Additional benefits for certain party leaders
For subsection 5 (1) of the Act, the cost of mobile telephone services for use of personal staff, as approved by the Minister, is prescribed as an additional benefit for:
(a) the Leader of the Opposition in the House of Representatives; and
(b) the Leader of The Nationals in the Senate; and
(c) the leader of a minority party.
