SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES

 


AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.


 

Pacific Aerospace 750XL Series Aeroplanes

 

AD/750XL/1 Aileron and Elevator Pushrods 9/2004

TX

Applicability: Model 750XL aircraft, with serial numbers up to and including 107. Requirement: 1.              Inspect the aileron and elevator pushrod ends in accordance with Pacific

Aerospace Mandatory Service Bulletin (MSB) PACSB/XL/007.

 

If there is any detectable play between the pushrod and the insert, before further flight, replace the rivets in accordance with MSB PACSB/XL/007.

 

2. Replace the aileron and elevator pushrod insert rivets in accordance with MSB PACSB/XL/007.

 

Note 1: Replacement of loose rivets in an aileron or elevator pushrod insert is terminating action for further inspection of the insert that has had affected rivets replaced.

 

Note 2: NZ CAA AD DCA/750XL/1 refers.

 

Compliance: 1. Within 10 hours time in service after 28 June 2004; thereafter at intervals not to exceed 150 hours time in service, until affected rivets are replaced.

 

2. Within 600 hours time in service after 28 June 2004.

 

This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 28 June 2004.

 

Background: Reports were received of loose rivets that secure the threaded inserts in the ends of the aileron and elevator control pushrods.
