Australian Meat and Live-stock Industry (Standards) Amendment Order 2006 (No. 2)
I, NARELLE CLEGG, delegate of the Secretary of the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, make this Order under section 17 of the Australian Meat and Live-stock Industry Act 1997.

This Order is the Australian Meat and Live-stock Industry (Standards) Amendment Order 2006 (No. 2).
2. Commencement
This Order commences on 25 September 2006.
3. Revocation of Australian Meat and Live-stock Industry (Standards) Amendment Order 2006 (No. 1)
This Order revokes the Australian Meat and Live-stock Industry (Standards) Amendment Order 2006 (No. 1).
4. Amendments of Australian Meat and Live-stock Industry (Standards) Order 2005
Schedule 1 amends the Australian Meat and Live-stock Industry (Standards) Order 2005.
5. Application of amendment
(1) Subject to subsections (2) and (3), the amendment made by item 1 of Schedule 1 applies in relation to exports of live-stock from Australia on or after 25 September 2006.
(2) The requirement contained in the Note to subparagraph (c)(i) of Standard S1.9 of the Australian Standards for the Export of Livestock (Version 2, September 2006) does not apply to cattle and buffalo from the Northern Territory sourced for export as slaughter or feeder animals until 1 January 2007.
(3) For the period 25 September 2006 to 31 December 2006, the requirement contained in the Note at the end of Standard S1.9 of the Australian Standards for the Export of Live-stock published by the Department, as in force on 1 July 2005, applies to cattle and buffalo from the Northern Territory sourced for export as slaughter or feeder animals.
