I, QUENTIN BRYCE, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004.

1 Name of Regulations

  These Regulations are the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Amendment Regulations 2009 (No. 1).

2 Commencement

  These Regulations commence on the day after they are registered.

3 Amendment of Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Regulations 2004

  Schedule 1 amends the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Regulations 2004.

Administering the social security law

insert

 (a) Administering the social security law; or

 (b) Giving information relevant to the administration of concessions provided, on the basis of receipt of compensation under the Act, by:

 (i) State, Territory or local government authorities; or

 (ii) organisations prescribed for regulation 9 of the Privacy (Private Sector) Regulations 2001
