1.1. Name of Legislative Instrument
1.1.1. This instrument is the Vehicle Standard (Australian Design Rule 58/00 – Requirements for Omnibuses Designed for Hire and Reward) 2006 Amendment 1.
1.2. Commencement
1.2.1. This instrument commences on the day after it is registered.
2.1. The changes specified in Schedule 1 amend Vehicle Standard (Australian Design Rule 58/00 – Requirements for Omnibuses Designed for Hire and Reward) 2006.
[1] Insert new clause “4. Alternative Standard
The technical requirements of United Nations - Economic Commission for Europe Regulation No. 52 - Uniform Provisions Concerning the Approval of M2 and M3 Small Capacity Vehicles with Regard to their General Construction incorporating 01 series of amendments shall be deemed to be equivalent to the technical requirements of this standard in the case of a ‘Small Omnibus’ having an occupant capacity of up to 15 persons, including the driver.”
