Social Security (Administration) Act 1999

I, KEVIN ANDREWS, Minister for Social Services, acting under subsection 123TGAA(1) of the Social Security (Administration) Act 1999, and being satisfied of the matters set out in subsections 123TGAA(2) and (3) and having regard to the matters set out in subsection 123TGAA(4), make this Determination.

1               Name of Determination

This determination is the Social Security (Administration) (Recognised State/Territory Authority – NT Alcohol Mandatory Treatment Tribunal) Determination 2013.

2               Commencement

This determination commences the day after it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments.

3               Revocation of previous instrument

The Social Security (Administration) (Recognised State/Territory Authority - NT Alcohol and Drugs Tribunal) Determination 2012 is revoked.

4               Saving

Despite the revocation effected by section 3, the Social Security (Administration) (Recognised State/Territory Authority - NT Alcohol and Drugs Tribunal) Determination 2012 continues to apply to a notice given to the Secretary under the Act requiring a person to be subject to income management which continues in force at commencement of this determination under section 145 of the Alcohol Mandatory Treatment Act 2013 (NT), while such notice remains in force.

5               Interpretation

In this determination:

Act means the Social Security (Administration) Act 1999.

NT Alcohol Mandatory Treatment Tribunal means the Tribunal established by section 102 of the Alcohol Mandatory Treatment Act 2013 (NT).

6               Recognised State/Territory Authority

The NT Alcohol Mandatory Treatment Tribunal is a recognised State/Territory authority for the purposes of Part 3B of the Act.
