I, Stuart Robert, Assistant Minister for Defence, make the following determination under subsection 5C(1) of the Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986.

  This determination is the Veterans’ Entitlements (Warlike Service—Operation ENDURING FREEDOM: Afghanistan) Determination 2014.

  This determination is taken to have commenced on 7 October 2001.

  This determination is made under subsection 5C(1) of the Veterans Entitlements Act 1986.

  In this determination:

Act means the Veterans Entitlements Act 1986.

  For subsection 5C(1) of the Act, service in an operation mentioned in an item of the following table is warlike service for the purposes of the Act if:

 (a) the service is in an area of operation mentioned in the item; and

 (b) the service is during a period mentioned in the item.
