Part 1 Preliminary

1.                       Name of Rules

These Rules are the Private Health Insurance (Complying Product) Amendment Rules 2016 (No. 1).

2.                       Commencement

 

These Rules commence on 20 March 2016.

3.                       Amendment of the Private Health Insurance (Complying Product) Rules 2015

The Schedule amends the Private Health Insurance (Complying Product) Rules 2015 as amended.

Private Health Insurance (Complying Product) Rules 2015

[1] Part 2 General, Paragraph 8A Benefit Requirement – nursing-home type patients (3) (a)

 

Delete subparagraph 8A (3)(a) and substitute:

 

(a) In relation to a nursing-home type patient at a public hospital, the following amount for the State or Territory in which the hospital is located:

(i)                 Australian Capital Territory - $56.90;

(ii)              New South Wales - $57.85;

(iii)            Northern Territory - $57.85;

(iv)            Queensland - $57.85;

(v)               South Australia - $57.85;

(vi)            Tasmania - $57.85;

(vii)          Victoria - $57.85;

(viii)        Western Australia - $57.85;

 

(b) In relation to a nursing-home type patient at a private hospital, $57.85
