Remuneration Tribunal (Members’ Fees and Allowances) Regulations 2005
This is the Remuneration Tribunal (Members’ Fees and Allowances) Regulation 2016.
(1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

This instrument is made under section 12 of the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1973.
Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.
Note: A number of expressions used in this instrument are defined in the Act, including the following:
(a) President;
(b) Tribunal.
In this instrument:
Act means the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1973.
member means a member of the Tribunal.
For section 12 of the Act, the following fees are prescribed:
(a) for the President—$89 090 per year;
(b) for other members—$43 095 per year.
For section 12 of the Act, the travelling allowances to which a Secretary of a Department is entitled for travel on official business within Australia and internationally, in accordance with a determination under section 61 of the Public Service Act 1999, are prescribed as allowances.
