Admiralty Rules 1988

1  Name

  These are the Admiralty Amendment Rules 2016 (No. 1).

2  Commencement

 (1) Each provision of these Rules specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

3  Authority

  These Rules are made under the Admiralty Act 1988.

4  Schedules

  Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Admiralty Rules 1988

1  Subrule 3(1)

Insert:

Federal Court Chief Executive Officer means the Chief Executive Officer and Principal Registrar of the Federal Court of Australia.

2  Subrule 14(1)

Omit “Registrar of the Federal Court”, substitute “Federal Court Chief Executive Officer”.
