CLASS OF PERSONS FOR TEMPORARY WORK (INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS) (CLASS GD) VISA 2016/110

(subparagraph 1234(2)(a)(i))

I, PETER DUTTON, Minister for Immigration and Border Protection, acting under subregulation 2.07(5) of the Migration Regulations 1994 (the Regulations):

  1. REVOKE Instrument IMMI 16/032 (F2016L00576), Class of Persons 2016/032, signed on 26 April 2016;
  2. SPECIFY for the purposes of subparagraph 1234(2)(a)(i) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations, the following classes of persons:
    1. Fulbright Scholars of the United States of America;
    2. participants in the Pacific Microstates – Northern Australia Worker Pilot Programme;
    3. persons to whom privileges and immunities are, or are expected to be, accorded under one or both of the following Acts:
      1. the International Organisations (Privileges and Immunities) Act 1963; or
      2. the Overseas Missions (Privileges and Immunities) Act 1995

and who are expected to be recommended by the Foreign Minister for the grant of a visa; and

d.      persons who hold a valid diplomatic, official or service passport and who hold a third person note of support for the application from the government, or a government agency, of the applicant’s home country.

This Instrument, Class of Persons for Temporary Work (International Relations) (Class GD) Visa 2016/110, IMMI 16/110, commences immediately after the commencement of the Migration Amendment (Temporary Activity Visas) Regulation 2016.
