Norfolk Island Continued Laws Ordinance 2015
This is the Norfolk Island Continued Laws Amendment (Public Health) Ordinance 2016.
(1) Each provision of this Ordinance specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

This Ordinance is made under section 19A of the Norfolk Island Act 1979.
Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this Ordinance is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this Ordinance has effect according to its terms.
Norfolk Island Continued Laws Ordinance 2015
1 Before item 1AA of Schedule 1
Insert:
1AAA Subsection 3(1)
Insert:
enactment means:
(a) a section 19A Ordinance (within the meaning of the Norfolk Island Act 1979 of the Commonwealth); or
(b) an Ordinance continued in force by section 16 or 16A (disregarding subsection 16A(4)) of that Act, as the Ordinance is in force from time to time; or
(c) a Legislative Assembly law continued in force by section 16A (disregarding subsection 16A(3)) of that Act, as the law is in force from time to time; or
(d) a New South Wales law as in force in Norfolk Island under section 18A of that Act.
2 After item 1AA of Schedule 1
Insert:
1AB At the end of subsection 15(1)
Add “(other than a decision made in the exercise of a power, function or duty vested in the Commonwealth Minister by section 18B of the Norfolk Island Act 1979 of the Commonwealth)”.
3 Before item 102AA of Schedule 1
Insert:
102 Sections 10 and 20
Repeal the sections.
4 Part 1 of Schedule 1 (heading specifying Tuberculosis Act 1950 (Norfolk Island))
Repeal the heading.
5 Item 343B of Schedule 1
Repeal the item.
6 At the end of Part 2 of Schedule 1
Add:
Division 6—Application provision relating to amendments of the Health Act 1913
357 Application of repeal of section 10 of the Health Act 1913 (Norfolk Island)
The repeal of section 10 of the Health Act 1913 (Norfolk Island) made by item 102 of this Schedule applies in relation to conduct engaged in on or after 20 January 2017.
