The Australian Communications and Media Authority makes the following Amendment under subsection 132(1) of the Radiocommunications Act 1992.

1  Name

  This is the Radiocommunications (Emergency Locating Devices) Class Licence Amendment 2016 (No. 1).

2  Commencement

  This Amendment commences at the start of the day after it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislation.

3  Authority

  This Amendment is made under subsection 132(1) of the Radiocommunications Act 1992.

4  Amendment

Radiocommunications (Emergency Locating Devices) Class Licence 2016 (F2016L01399)

1  Subsection 5(1) (the definition of radar)

Substitute the following:

 

radar has the meaning given to it in the Radio Regulations Articles, published by the International Telecommunication Union as in force from time to time.
