This Determination is Defence Determination 2017/21, Higher duties allowance – amendment.

This Determination may also be cited as Defence Determination 2017/21.

This instrument is made under section 58B of the Defence Act 1903.

 

Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

 

Schedule 1 Defence Determination 2016/19, Conditions of service

 

Omit subsection, substitute:

1.

Higher duties may be used for a member directed to perform the duties of a position at a higher rank or skill level.

 

Repeal the section.

 

 

 

Schedule 2 Transitional provisions

1.

This section applies to a member who was on a trial period under section 4.1.17 of Defence Determination 2016/19, Conditions of service before the commencement of this Determination.

2.

The rules under section 4.1.17 of Defence Determination 2016/19, Conditions of service that would have applied to the member continue to apply for up to three months after the commencement of this Determination.
