1  Name

  This instrument is the Christmas Island Utilities and Services (Electricity Supply and Services Fees) Amendment (2017 Measures No. 1) Determination 2017.

2  Commencement

 (1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

  This instrument is made under paragraph 7(2)(a) of the Christmas Island Utilities and Services Ordinance 2016.

  Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1Amendments

 

Christmas Island Utilities and Services (Electricity Supply and Services Fees) Determination 2016

1  Section 4 (definition of daily dependent child rebate amount)

Repeal the definition, substitute:

daily dependent child rebate amount, for a person, means:

 (a) if the person has one dependent child—70.85 cents; or

 (b) if the person has 2 dependent children—89.42 cents; or

 (c) if the person has 3 dependent children—107.98 cents; or

 (d) if the person has 4 or more dependent children—126.55 cents.

2  Subsection 6(2)

Omit “this instrument” (second occurring), substitute “the Christmas Island Utilities and Services (Electricity Supply and Services Fees) Amendment (2017 Measures No. 1) Determination 2017”.
