  This instrument is the Veterans’ Entitlements (Warlike Service—Operation Augury) Determination 2017.

2  Commencement

 (1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

3  Authority

  This instrument is made under the definition of warlike service in subsection 5C(1) of the Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986.

4  Warlike service

  For the purposes of the definition of warlike service in subsection 5C(1) of the Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986, service in the Defence Force in an operation mentioned in an item of the following table is warlike service for the purposes of that Act if the service:

 (a) is in an area of operation mentioned in the item; and

 (b) occurs during a period mentioned in the item.
