Foreign Acquisitions and Takeovers Regulation 2015
This instrument is the Foreign Acquisitions and Takeovers Amendment (Amendments of Singapore-Australia Free Trade Agreement) Regulations 2017.
(1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

The whole of this instrument | The later of: (a) the day after this instrument is registered; and (b) the day the Agreement between the Government of Australia and the Government of the Republic of Singapore: (i) to amend the Singapore‑Australia Free Trade Agreement, done at Singapore on 17 February 2003; and (ii) done at Canberra on 13 October 2016; enters into force for Australia. However, the provisions do not commence at all if the event mentioned in paragraph (b) does not occur. The Minister must announce, by notifiable instrument, the day the amending Agreement enters into force for Australia. | 1 December 2017 (F2018N00156) (paragraph (b) applies) |

This instrument is made under the Foreign Acquisitions and Takeovers Act 1975.
Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

The amendments made by the Foreign Acquisitions and Takeovers Amendment (Amendments of Singapore‑Australia Free Trade Agreement) Regulations 2017 apply in relation to significant actions, and notifiable actions, taken on or after the day the amending Agreement referred to in paragraph (b) of item 1 of the table in subsection 2(1) of those Regulations enters into force for Australia.
