1.                      Pursuant to subsections 7(3), 7(4) and 7(4B) of the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1973, the Remuneration Tribunal has inquired into the remuneration and allowances to be paid to certain holders of public office, and other matters significantly related thereto, and determines as set out below.

PART 1 – FULL-TIME OFFICES

1.                  In this part, Determination Number 11 of 2017 (as amended) is referred to as the Principal Determination.
2.                  Table 3A of Part 3 the Principal Determination is amended by inserting the following entry after the entry for “Mr Tony Usher, Chief Executive Officer, Aboriginal Hostels Limited”.

1.                  Clause 1.2 commences on 1 December 2017.
2.                  Table 2A of Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting “2.2.14” in Column 3 of the entry for Chief Executive Officer, Infrastructure and Project Financing Agency.
3.                  The Additional Clauses to Table 2A of Part 2 of the Principal Determination are amended by inserting “2.2.14 Infrastructure and Project Financing Agency, Chief Executive Officer:  Ms Leilani Frew will receive an additional fixed loading of  $75,000 for the term of her appointment until 9 December 2022.”
4.                  Clauses 1.4 and 1.5 commence on 11 December 2017.
5.                  Table 2A of Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the current entry for the “Director-General, Office of National Assessments” and replacing it with the following after the entry for “Commissioner, Australian Federal Police”.

1.                  Table 2.5A of Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting the following after the entry for “Mr Duncan Lewis, Director-General of Security, Australian Security Intelligence Organisation”.

1.                  Clauses 1.7 and 1.8 commence on 18 December 2017.

2.1 In this part, Determination Number 10 of 2017 (as amended) is referred to as the Principal Determination.

2.2 Table A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing the current entry for the “Australian Statistics Advisory Council” with the following entry.

2.3 Clause 2.2 commences on 30 November 2017.

2.4 Table A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting the following entry after “Australia Business Arts Foundation”.

2.5 Table B3 of Schedule B of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing the current entry for “AIHW, Ethics Committee” with the following and placing after the entry for “Australia Council, Sector Strategy Panels”.

2.6 Clauses 2.4 and 2.5 commence on 30 November 2017.

2.7 Table A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing the name “Australian Grape and Wine Authority” in Column 1 with “Wine Australia”.

2.8 Table B3 of Schedule B of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing the name “Australian Grape and Wine Authority, Selection Committee” in Column 1 with “Wine Australia Selection Committee”.

2.9 Clause 2.7 and 2.8 commence on 30 November 2017.

3.1 In this part, Determination Number 09 of 2017 (as amended) is referred to as the Principal Determination.

3.2 Part 4 of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the entry in Clause 4.1.5 and inserting the following: “‘private vehicle running costs’ does not include expenditure relating to the acquisition, leasing or hire of any vehicle;”.

3.3 Part 4 of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting Clause 4.1.6 with the following: “‘luxury car’ means a car the value of which exceeds the luxury car tax threshold (for non-fuel-efficient cars) mentioned in subsection 25-1(3A) of the A New Tax System (Luxury Car Tax) Act 1999”.

3.4 Part 4 of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting Clause 4.2, and subclauses 4.2.1 and 4.2.2.

3.5 Part 4 of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the entry in Clause 4.3 (i) and inserting the following: “a private plated vehicle, that is generally made available by the Commonwealth for the purpose, and is not a luxury car, leased in accordance with the FVS Policy; or”.

3.6 Part 4 of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing the word “privately” in Clause 4.4 with “private”.

3.7 Part 4 of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the entry in Clause 4.4 (i) and inserting the following: “a private plated vehicle, that is generally made available by the Commonwealth for the purpose, and is not a luxury car, leased in accordance with the FVS Policy; or”.

3.8 Part 4 of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing the word “privately” in Clause 4.5 with “private”.

3.9 Part 4 of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the entry in Clause 4.5 (i) and inserting the following: “a private plated vehicle, that is generally made available by the Commonwealth for the purpose, and is not a luxury car, leased in accordance with the FVS Policy; or”.

3.10 Part 4 of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing the word “privately” in Clause 4.7 with “private”.
