Financial Framework (Supplementary Powers) Regulations 1997
This instrument is the Financial Framework (Supplementary Powers) Amendment (Jobs and Small Business Measures No. 2) Regulations 2018.
(1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

Financial Framework (Supplementary Powers) Regulations 1997
1 Part 4 of Schedule 1AB (table item 175, column headed “Objective(s)”)
After “unemployed” (wherever occurring), insert “and other”.
2 Part 4 of Schedule 1AB (table item 175, column headed “Objective(s)”, paragraph (b))
After “Australia’s obligations under”, insert “one or more of”.
3 Part 4 of Schedule 1AB (table item 175, column headed “Objective(s)”, subparagraph (b)(i))
Omit all the words after “International Labour Organization’s”, substitute “Convention concerning Employment Policy, particularly Articles 1 and 2”.

(ia) the International Labour Organization’s Convention concerning the Organisation of the Employment Service, particularly Articles 1 and 2;

304 | Regional Employment Trials Program | To undertake measures directed at assisting job seekers in particular areas of disadvantage through providing employment and related services that assist job seekers to find and keep a job with suitable employers, including: (a) training, mentoring and support services; and (b) engaging employment facilitators to assist with the delivery of these measures. This objective also has the effect it would have if it were limited to measures: (a) providing, or incidental to the provision of, unemployment benefits; or (b) to meet Australia’s obligations under one or more of the following: (i) the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, particularly Articles 2(1) and 6(2); (ii) the International Labour Organization’s Convention concerning Employment Policy, particularly Articles 1 and 2; (iii) the International Labour Organization’s Convention concerning Vocational Guidance and Vocational Training in the Development of Human Resources, particularly Articles 1 to 4; or (c) undertaken in, or in relation to, a Territory. |
