Parliamentary Business Resources Regulations 2017

1  Name

  This instrument is the Parliamentary Business Resources Amendment (2018 Measures No. 2) Regulations 2018.

2  Commencement

 (1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

  This instrument is made under the Parliamentary Business Resources Act 2017.

4  Schedules

  Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1Amendments

 

Parliamentary Business Resources Regulations 2017

1  Subsection 45(2)

Repeal the subsection, substitute:

The representative and staff

 (2) International travel expenses are prescribed for the following:

 (a) the representative;

 (b) one staff member accompanying the representative.

2  Paragraph 46(2)(b)

Repeal the paragraph, substitute:

 (b) one staff member accompanying the member.

3  Subsection 60(2)

Omit “3 consecutive financial years”, substitute “36 consecutive months”.

4  After paragraph 66(1)(h)

Insert:

 (ha) wreaths;

5  After paragraph 66(1)(l)

Insert:

 (la) cloudbased services, including storage and software;

6  After paragraph 66(1)(pc)

Insert:

 (pd) with the approval of the Minister, other resources or expenses reasonably required for the conduct of the member’s parliamentary business;

7  Paragraph 66(1)(q)

Omit “(pc)”, insert “(pd)”.
