1  Name

  This instrument is the Christmas Island Utilities and Services (Electricity Supply and Services Fees) Amendment (2019 Measures No. 1) Determination 2019.

2  Commencement

 (1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

  This instrument is made under section 7 of the Christmas Island Utilities and Services Ordinance 2016.

  Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1Amendments

 

Christmas Island Utilities and Services (Electricity Supply and Services Fees) Determination 2016

1  Section 4 (definition of daily dependent child rebate amount)

Repeal the definition, substitute:

daily dependent child rebate amount, for a person, means:

 (a) if the person has one dependent child—79.70 cents; or

 (b) if the person has more than one dependent child—79.70 cents for the first child plus 20.92 cents for each additional child.

2  Section 5 (table item 6)

Repeal the item.

3  Subsection 6(2)

Omit “the date the Christmas Island Utilities and Services (Electricity Supply and Services Fees) Amendment (2018 Measures No. 1) Determination 2018 commences”, substitute “1 November 2019”.

4  Clause 1 of Schedule 1 (table)

Repeal the table (not including the note), substitute:
