Financial Framework (Supplementary Powers) Regulations 1997
This instrument is the Financial Framework (Supplementary Powers) Amendment (Foreign Affairs and Trade Measures No. 2) Regulations 2019.
(1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

Insert:
378 | Pacific Secondary School Scholarships Program | To provide funding for scholarships and other support for secondary school students from Papua New Guinea and other Pacific island countries to study in Australia. This objective also has the effect it would have if it were limited to providing funding: (a) with respect to aliens (within the meaning of paragraph 51(xix) of the Constitution); or (b) with respect to the provision of benefits to students (within the meaning of paragraph 51(xxiiiA) of the Constitution); or (c) with respect to external affairs (within the meaning of paragraph 51(xxix) of the Constitution); or (d) with respect to the relations of the Commonwealth with the islands of the Pacific; or (e) for activities done in the exercise of the executive power of the Commonwealth. |
