Macquarie Island Toothfish (Total Allowable Catch) Determination 2020
The Australian Fisheries Management Authority makes the following determination in accordance with a decision made by the Commission under section 23 of the Fisheries Administration Act 1991.

This instrument is the Macquarie Island Toothfish Fishery (Total Allowable Catch) Determination 2020.
This instrument commences on 15 April 2020.
This instrument is made pursuant to paragraph 17(6)(aa) of the Fisheries Management Act 1991 under section 11 of the Macquarie Island Toothfish Fishery Management Plan 2006.
This instrument ceases as if it was revoked on 15 April 2022 unless earlier revoked.
5 Definitions
A term used in this instrument that is defined for the purposes of the Macquarie Island Toothfish Fishery Management Plan 2006 (the Plan) has the same meaning in this instrument as it has in the Plan.
Note: Terms defined in the Fisheries Management Act 1991 have the same meanings in this instrument.
Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.
7 Determination of total allowable catch
(1) The total allowable catch for Patagonian toothfish and catch limits for other species in the Macquarie Island Toothfish Fishery for the 2020/2021 fishing year, commencing on 15 April 2020 and ending on 14 April 2021, and the 2021/22 fishing year, commencing on 15 April 2021 and ending on 14 April 2022 are:
(a) 555 tonnes for each fishing year for Patagonian toothfish (Dissostichus eleginoides); and
(b) 50 tonnes for each fishing year for each of the other species in the Macquarie Island Toothfish Fishery.
